In no way, do I think there is a competition among intergenerational trauma survivors. However, do our panelists have thoughts from their wisdom regarding two other communities of intergenerationally-traumatized people in the US: the African-featured descendants of enslaved people, and the Native Americans?

One thing I forgot to mention that one of the hardest things growing up was looking at photographs of family members I was so unjustly deprived of and not just them but all the generations that would have followed in normal circumstances.

I was secretly jealous of my friends growing up who had all their grandparents, and lots of aunts and uncles, and lots of cousins they grew up with, got to know and to celebrate holidays and special occasions with. I never had that.

Thank you for all your precious stories. We must never forget these testimonials. I once visited Auschwitz & the Krakow Ghetto. I once taught and use to screen “Schindler’s List” via language arts to the middle school students. It is scary the current revival of brown, black Asian racial hatred, plus Muslim and Jewish hate revival today. I grew up in Los Angeles and lived for almost ten years with a Hungarian Jewish boyfriend who’s had family shipped from Hungary to the death camps. Thank you again for sharing these testimonials.
