In the federal government of the United States, the power of the purse is vested in the Congress as laid down in the Constitution of the United States - the Appropriation Clause and the Taxing and Spending Clause.
I urge you to not let the Executive branch usurp the power and responsibility that your constituents have entrusted you with and are holding you accountable.
