In addition to teaching at Berkeley he frequently speaks for media and the general public on issues of peace and nonviolence and does presentations around the world for the Blue Mountain Center of Meditation. Michael has written six books and contributes articles frequently to Tikkun, YES! magazine and many other progressive journals. He has consulted for the U.S. Institute of Peace and many organizations and projects dealing with nonviolence and world peace. Michael is the Founder/President of The Metta Center and Director of “The Third Harmony”.
