How can we help men thrive and survive in today's rapidly changing world?
Lisa Hickey, Publisher of The Good Men Project, and Joe Conrad, founder of Man Therapy, are joining together to talk about their experiences. Both the GMP and Man Therapy create safe places for men to access resources to help men live longer, healthier lives. Man Therapy proactively focuses on men's mental health, with the important goal of lowering the suicide rate among men. The statistics are devastating---five out of seven suicides, in the U.S., are working age-men. Man Therapy has created an innovative and evidence-based men’s mental health campaign where spokesperson Dr. Rich Mahogany reminds men that taking care of their mental health is the manliest thing a man can do. The Good Men Project takes a broader approach, providing a vast library of articles, phone conversations, workshops, events and more to help men navigate how men's roles are rapidly changing in the 21st century. Together, these founders will give us a window into men’s health and well-being that we desperately need.
