This Week: Technologies of Hope

In this session, Jim Garrison will amplify the discussions from last week’s Technologies of Hope program with a deeper exploration of the Aboriginal and indigenous wisdom about the human use of technology. He will discuss the collective memory deeply buried in humanity’s collective consciousness that we have destroyed ourselves before. Now that we stand on the brink of doing it again, it is urgent that we listen to our deep memory. He will delve into the Greek understanding of the Promethian and Orphic impulses in relation to technology and what we can do in our time to remember the wisdom of our forebears. It is the only way through the vicissitudes of our global crisis.
