The Invitation From Leo Jacoby to Share Gratitude on June 2nd, 2021
Humanity Rising is a great venue for building a learning community. Thank you Jim Garrison, et.al. The HR After Party (afterchat community) is another venue for weaving relationships. Thank you Stanley Pokras :)
- Out of this rich soil a tiny bloom, a "deep dive" to share our experiences of gratefulness. My invite below gives details how you can participate in what Kurt Krueger prefers to call a "Love Fest."
- The one hour Zoom session happens to be on my birthday, June 2, but the focus is on how each of us practices, remembers and shares gratitude, each in our unique ways. *Think about briefly sharing by email or zoom. We would love to learn a bit about your gratitude experiences.
- Cordial Blessings,
- Leo Jacoby
- Afterchat Community (HR's "fan club")
An Invitation: Celebrate Gratitude...
1. Prepare for a Deep Dive on Gratefulness
I have been known to share links. Here are a few you may enjoy:
- https://youtu.be/mRF1GUZHDIo:: (10:21) “I don’t have time for things which are not real. I don’t have enough time left. So, I want my life to feel authentic.” Theo du Plessis is five years younger than me and many years wiser. I found this short video at: ::https://gratefulness.org/:: Also at this network for grateful living: an interview with David Steindl-Rast about gratitude as the path to a better world; a clear values and mission vision; daily questions; and more. A search for "gratitude journal" led me to this and other helpful sites:

2. Share your Practices and Stories of Gratefulness
We encourage one another by sharing: 1) How do you practice gratefulness? 2) Your specific experience—for whom or what and why are you grateful? Here are two ways to briefly share:
1. By emailing: leopjacoby@gmail.com with the subject line “GRATITUDE.” I will compile all replies into a “Document of Gratitude” and provide responders a link to its Google doc.
2. By attending a “Danke-Fest” on Wednesday June 2, (my 72nd birthday) 2:30-3:30pm EDT in Stanley’s Zoom Room. Go to This link or if asked, join with meeting ID: 810 4561 3451 and passcode: 919541. We will record the Zoom hour and provide its link on request for those unable to attend live. We will add written chat comments to the “Document of Gratitude.” Notice: time given is Eastern Daylight Time; adjust for your timezone.
3. Tell others your Thank-yous
Take a break from news and solving world problems. Express your gratefulness to the people you love. I thank the Master Weaver who guides our paths to cross. I thank You for being part of the We, we are becoming.
The Zoom culture has enabled us to make new connections around the world. I am grateful for you, families, friends, and the gift of community in its many forms.
You are my happy birthday blessings!
Love,
Leo
