AI Technologies like Chat GPT have dominated the news cycles since its release in November last year.  But what's behind the hype?

Are we witnessing a tech. fad or a dizzying historical moment that alters the human condition? In today's session we explore the mind bending world of generative text AI and their impact on society. Are these models simply sophisticated tools or are they disembodied monstrous mind-machines that have transcended the limits of human intelligence? As we delve deeper into the world of AI language models, we explore the ethical implications of creating machines that can mimic human thought and creativity. But where and when does mimicking become "real" thinking?  Will these models become our assistants, helping us complete tasks that were once thought impossible, or will they take over our jobs and slowly turn us into mindless drones? What does it mean to be truly human in the age of AI? How can AI help us create a more beautiful world our human hearts know is possible?
