The world is in a time of unprecedented disruption and complexity at the very moment when traditional forms of broadcast, social media and the Press are becoming increasingly bifurcated and adversarial and our educational systems are largely failing to effectively prepare students for the systemic challenges of our time.
As a result, our increasingly hypercomplex and turbulent global environment is outstripping our ability, collectively and individually, to comprehend and respond in meaningful and effective ways to rapidly changing events with the speed, dexterity and wisdom needed to create a better world.
In response to this need, we believe it is time to introduce a new entry into the global media sphere — the first live stream broadcast content and news channel that will incorporate a new form of experiential education and audience interactivity in real time as part of an innovative programming strategy designed to inform, inspire and empower viewers to build their capacities to become collaborative learners and citizen activists motivated to work together to solve critical global challenges.
This new media concept can simultaneously revolutionize both broadcasting and education by providing an interactive electronic space for viewers to engage and support each other and thereby strengthen bonds of shared learning, community and collaboration.
This innovative and disruptive breakthrough has been developed by Ubiquity University and a global collaboration of education, media and interactive technology experts and partners who are responding to the unprecedented current global crises facing humanity by launching the Humanity Rising Network (HRN). HRN will be an independent, interactive 24/7 digital, livestream network that will offer the best in provocative, timely and valuable content, news, information, education and interactivity to millions of viewers globally.
