Barbara Vacarr
Dr. Barbara Vacarr is a compassionate and visionary leader, a psychologist, and adult educator. She is the former CEO of Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and former President of Goddard College. She is a life-long meditator, deeply committed to missions that have meaning and resonance, and to organizations doing bold, good work. She is the founder and senior leader of an Intergenerational Women's Mentoring Collective and served as an interviewer for the USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education. As an ambassador of progressive education with audiences around the world, Barbara was named one of 50 “Influencers in Aging in America” in 2015, by PBS’s Next Avenue. In 2021, Barbara was honored as a recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Barbara is a grandmother of five beautiful grandchildren.
