The problem with identification processes is that they are communicated in words or sensuous symbols which can be laced with different meanings for different people. So when we try to use words to get to clarity on identity it leads to defining words, which then we use more words to define those words, which then require more words and then we end up in circles which burn people out. We can stop this and actually make progress in stopping this infinite regress.
