Here is a vaccine that anyone can take to cure humans inhumanity to others ~ AND bring the absorbent mind alive.

“When we are peaceful, when we are happy, we can blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society will benefit from our peace.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh, Being Peace

Even when we do solve the problems of wars and hunger, the environment and relationships, without peace of mind, we have achieved nothing.

There seems to be two ways of solving the age-old problem for accomplishing peace. The first is within oneself and subsequently society, and the next is on an interpersonal and ultimately, an international level.

Over the last 50 years researchers have found that when one percent of a population in a town meditated, homicides, car accidents, and suicides all decreased. The crime rate went down. Meditation can, therefore bring peace to oneself and to our cities.

Over the years, groups of highly experienced meditators traveled to the troubled spots in the world, Lebanon, S. Africa, Nicaragua, etc. They sat quietly grouped in their hotel and meditated twice a day. They did no protest nor propaganda for peace. Together, they simply practiced a powerful meditation technique. Within three days, violence dramatically subsided. Sadly, when the critical number of meditators left, the violence returned.

These experienced meditators did a similar study with violence rates while attending a conference on meditation in Rhode Island during a summer. The auto fatalities and violent crime decreased nearly 50 percent.  Sadly, within two weeks of leaving their summer conference, the crime and fatality rates returned to normal.

One of the most effective time tested methods for eliminating bad habits is meditation. What is meditation? The stilling of the mind to experience the source is meditation. It acts as a drain cleaner of past conditionings and impressions in the sub-conscious mind. Meditation opens up the mind allowing it to be unencumbered by weighty negativities. Historically, peace of mind is accomplished through meditation. It calms the mind from the savage waters of uncontrolled thought. It brings peace to ‘my’ world.

Meditation opens the mind for insights, intuition, enthusiasm, inspirations and more to be experienced.

Meditation has been used for thousands of years by millions of people around the world. There is a reason for this! It works for the people who ‘work it.’ It is a practice, and when practice is regular, it becomes easier to meditate. Meditation creates a calmer brain wave activity that brings harmony to the whole body. We offer you three ways in one form of meditation to bring the mind into more control.

As one focuses the mind on a cue-word or an affirmation, the brain waves calm down, so too does the heart rate. As the heart rate is decreased the rate of breathing does the same. This cue-word that we use brings a vision and a goal of peace to the forefront of the mind. The more it is repeated the more likely it will come to life in our life. We repeat one phrase breathing in and the complimentary phrase breathing out.

The next aspect of this PeaceMaker Meditation focuses directly on the breath. When the breath slows down because of your attention upon it. The heart rate slows down, and then the brainwaves. This meditative attention to the breath also actually helps reduce respiratory ailments.

The third aspect is called Mindfulness. Being aware that thoughts may jump into the mind allows one to observe them and return to the PeaceMaker Meditation’s Intention/Cue-word, ““Peace IN Everything, Everything WITH Peace”

The Law of Predominant Mental Impression

As a person thinketh, so is s/he.

Yes, the more “Peace IN Everything, Everything WITH Peace” is repeated the more aware the mind becomes of seeing, hearing, feeling Peace in one’s experience. Whether we are acting it out or others may be. The more one calms the mind down through this repetition the more Insights/Inspirations may be prompted.

HOW TO MEDITATE:

  1. As you awaken, Listen to the first action you take ~ pay attention to your breath’s movement and mentally repeat, “Peace IN everything” with each In-breath; and “Everything WITH Peace”, with the Out-breath. It is best repeated in your ‘Home’ language.
  2.   After your morning bathroom routine, when you are ready for deeper states of mind, sit comfortably erect with the eyes closed. You may have to be in another position, it is fine.
  3. If thoughts come up during your meditation time, smile and watch them come and go then simply return to the sound of the breath with “Peace IN Everything” flowing in and, “Everything WITH Peace” out.
  4. Meditate for about 20-60 minutes each day. Honor yourself and others with a regular practice for this valuable activity. When possible, with an intention for world peace, meditate each morning at 7:00 for just seven minutes. Meditate, and when possible, meditate in as large a group as you participate in. Throughout the day, in accomplishing anything, pay attention to the breaths repeating “Peace IN Everything, Everything WITH Peace.”
  5. Listen to the last action that you consciously take, “Peace IN Everything” with each In-breath; and “Everything WITH Peace,” with the Out-breath. Experience a deep peaceful sleep.

"Because you are alive, everything is possible." Thích Nhat Hanh

According to Gabriel Cousens, M.D., “We urge all like minded people to open their hearts, overcome the sense of difference for a time, and participate in this meditation for planetary peace. Through meditation there is the creation of inner peace which makes it much easier for peace to manifest in our personal lives.”

“Stillness is our most intense mode of action. It is in our moments of deep quiet that is born every idea, emotion, and drive which we eventually honor with the name of action. We reach highest in meditation, and farthest in prayer. In stillness every human being is great.” — Leonard Bernstein, composer of “West Side Story"

When I was teaching at Stockholm University in 1984, I gave a special program for the Swedish Prison Wardens and Priests on Using Meditation for Rehabilitation ~ It Changes People Inside so When They Go Outside, They’re Different. ˆThey’re recidivism rate is about 20%, ours 80%. They are now use more rehabilitation practices.

LOVE and helpfulness work wonders... When we work it, and we are worth it!
