Rev. '''[[Lee Ireland]]''' offers a summary of a course she will be offering this Fall at the Rolling Ridge Conference Center on Clarissa Estes' masterpiece analysis of "The Handless Maiden" story in Women Who Run with the Wolves. Through this work, Estes helps women learn about the key rites of passages we all travel through to evolve from young maidens into wise women/crones. Our current culture doesn't naturally support women in the development of their intuition and following their own dreams easily. Come and learn what actually can help free you from societal expectations to follow your path/dream.
In this session, Jim Garrison will amplify the discussions from last week’s Technology of Hope program with a deeper exploration of the Aboriginal and indigenous wisdom about the human use of technology. He will discuss the collective memory deeply buried in humanity’s collective consciousness that we have destroyed ourselves before. Now that we stand on the brink of doing it again, it is urgent that we listen to our deep memory. He will delve into the Greek understanding of the Promethian and Orphic impulses in relation to technology and what we can do in our time to remember the wisdom of our forebears. It is the only way through the vicissitudes of our global crisis.
 
Rev. Lee A. Ireland is a long-time Interim Pastor and Spiritual Director, who lives in Niantic, CT. She is currently offering Women's Spirituality programs at Rolling Ridge Conference Center, N. Andover, MA , after gleaning insights and wisdom from serving in 13 different congregational settings, leading women's retreats, as well as working in a women's prison and as a per diem hospital chaplain.
