Doctor of Ministry in Modern Mysticism - partnering Ubiquity Universary with Sacred Balance, a Mystical Christian Minister Training Program

Sacred Balance is an independent, nondenominational, 3 year training and ordination program for priests and bishops in the Mystical Christian Tradition. This training for modern mystics mirrors the esoteric teachings of the gnostics, hermeticists and mystic saints by supporting students in healing, devotion, and formation as independent sacramentalists. Once ordained as a priest, a process that takes about 3 years, students may transfer their Sacred Balance experience and training toward a Doctor of Ministry in Modern Mysticism at UU.

Rt Rev Mary Francis Drake, MA, MSW, UU DMin, is the founder and co-director of Sacred Balance. She serves as a bishop in Sacred Balance, offering sacraments, services, and minister training. She is also the current Director of the DMin Program at Ubiquity University. Mary Francis recently graduated from the UU DMin in Engaged Wisdom. Mary Francis is an author, poet, spiritual director, counselor, retreat leader, and university faculty. She is the mother of 3 young adults, and lives in intentional community in southern Vermont.
