Rainer Maria Rilke (1875-1926), called the Rumi of the West, offers a path to spirit and soul in his poems and prose. His work goes way beyond what we usually associate with poetry. Rilke is a divine voice of deep truth and unique clarity to express the core foundations of human life. Ludwig Max Fischer‚ PhD, will read from Rilke’s letters and prose, including from the Letters to a Young Poet. He will also include some of the translations by the American poet Robert Bly (1926 - 2021) to honor the contribution of this great American poet and translator towards our understanding of Rilke in the English language. | |||
