Author of For the Good of All, NOW! This is my first book. It is an invitation to explore different strategies and structures for self-organizing and achieving the good of all in the midst of a major evolutionary transition. The definition of how this might manifest in the world is a work in progress, with dissemination of a webinar planned for early 2024. My life perspectives are that I am a physical being existing in a world measured in terms of Matter, Space, Energy and Time, and a spiritual being that I sense but can't explain with the limited measurement tools we have. I am a grandfather, husband, brother, and uncle. I am passionate about my garden and my desire to co-create communities of belonging (Peter Block) that cooperate more fluidly and effectively, more peacefully, more gracefully, more happily, for the good of all. Like many in this period (Jan 2024) of existential crisis , I am struggling with the uncertain future of our race in the midst of the Fourth Macroshift (Ervin Laszlo). I am buoyed by notion that we have the ability to connect (Here Comes Everybody, Clay Shirky; and Stanley Pokras othernetworks.org), that we have the knowledge, practices and technologies to govern our commons (Elinor Ostrum, David Sloan Wilson, Mahatma Gandhi). I am also grateful for the teachers and experiences of the practice of Circle (M Scott Peck, Foundation for Community Encouragement–FCE), Dot Maver (Peacebuilder), and Joanna Macy (Systems Thinker, Activist, and beloved Teacher), among many others. I am also grateful for the love and care received from my parents, George and Barbara Currie, who modeled the true meaning of building communities wherever they went. I hope that our paths will cross and that in some way we are all the better for that experience.
