Paul VanderKlay
Today’s session is a dialogue with Paul VanderKlay, a minister in the Christian Reformed Church of North America, about his efforts to build online community to navigate and find solutions to what John Vervaeke calls "The Meaning Crisis". Paul’s work is part of a broader online community called ‘This Little Corner’ (TLC) of the Internet that Paul co-founded with Jonathan Pageau and John Vervaeke, but which now includes many others seeking ways to make personal and collective meaning in the wake of the recession of modernity and the exhaustion of postmodern critique. The session will conclude with Paul’s thoughts on where TLC is moving in the near future based on recent trends and his greatest hopes and concerns for the future. Paul lives and works in Sacramento, California.
