Josh Mitteldorf
Josh Mitteldorf earned a Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania, and switched mid-career into the biology of aging. In his writing, he blends science, spirituality, and a profound sense of social responsibility. He has written a popular book and an academic book on the biology of aging. His websites include Aging Matters Blog, Experimental Frontiers, the Daily Inspiration, and Unauthorized Science. His page at AgingAdvice.org offers a basic program for life extension. Dr Mitteldorf's latest book of poetry is based on the 64 hexagrams of the I Ching. He lives in Philadelphia, where he teaches a weekly yoga class and plays piano in chamber music groups and French horn in a community orchestra. His two daughters were adopted from China in the 1980s, breaking diplomatic ground for a wave of Chinese-American adoptions in the following decades.
