A shadow of denial, woven into the fabric of US culture, informs societal ills and diseases of despair. This shadow of unidentified trauma began with disinformation campaigns and legacy programs related to UFOs dating back to WWII. Several premises inform this perspective of recovery from a collective addiction to war and unidentified trauma.
- We are as sick as our secrets………………………….. need for honest transparency
- Need to cease fighting everyone and everything ………surrender of egoic use of will
- Do the right thing regardless of the personal consequences…….. moral imperative
- Things are not what they appear to be …………………… discernment and intuitive trust
Growing up on nuclear missile bases where UFOs (bogies) and NHIs were a part of the culture and a Catholic upbringing invited an intimate relationship with subtle and causal realm consciousness and intelligences. The transition to civilian life was fraught with high strangeness and traumatic consequences complicated by an entirely different worldview of civilian life on the heels of traumatic ambiguous loss . This led to a split between what was known intuitively and what was reflected back by culture. A recovery process of healing this split led to lifework.
Collective recovery from moral injury from trauma denied within culture:
Recovery begins by breaking through denial. Acknowledgement by the Pentagon that UFOs are real, the current legislation, congressional hearings and unfolding of a controlled disclosure plan reflect the first steps in a process of acceptance of a higher intelligence and that humanity is not the spearhead of consciousness. There is a moral imperative to find right relationship with the higher intelligence of ones understanding with inclusivity of all cosmological and theological perspectives. Surrender of a defense perspective based on fear and threat and othering is needed followed by an amends making process to correct harms caused by legacy programs and moral conflicts. Regular practice of prayer, meditation and daily moral inventory assists in deepening ones individual relationship with higher intelligences contributing to the greater good.
Linda White: Specializing for forty years in recovery from trauma, grief/loss, addictive tendencies, and stress-related illnesses, Linda’s life work has been a unique synthesis of somatic therapies (body), developmental psychology (mind), and applied spirituality. Her approach integrates principles of integral, Jungian, and transpersonal psychology, 12 step recovery & evolutionary spirituality. Psychosomatic integration (PSI) was developed to deepen subtle body awareness, relax the central nervous system and to access unconscious information. As a PhD candidate engaged in transpersonal research her dissertation explores the societal response and impact of UFO/UAP disclosure and introduces an evolutionary recovery process from ontological shock and moral injury. Linda's clinical and professional services have been offered in a wide range of settings to include hospital-based weight management programs, in & outpatient alcohol rehabilitation, mental health clinics, employee assistance programs, church-based pastoral counseling settings, corporate wellness environments, governmental organizations & private.
