It was on May 9, 1945 that the Soviet Union defeated Nazi Germany and declared victory. Each year, this day is commemorated in Russia and in the former Soviet Republics. This year, the day takes deeper poignancy since for the first time since WWII German tanks are in Ukraine fighting against the Russians. War is taking place between Russia and the United States which is gripped by the neo conservative strategy to sustain US supremacy over the entire planet. The people in Russia, like most people of the United States, do not want war. The way out is the reconciliation of peoples, that is, what people can do on their own, from below, without changing the ruling system. The pathway that Tatiana Ginsberg sees is the conscious migration of the thinking part of the United States to Russia, and the reciprocal migration of the Russian population to the United States. If a significant part of the US people move to Russia, and vice versa, then it might be possible to stop aggression with a high degree of probability. We, in Russia, are ready to support this process from below, facilitating the migration of specific people. Moreover, we started it in the pre-Covid period by opening Russian House # 1 in California in 2015.

The ecological crisis can be fundamentally resolved through the unification of various states into one and the removal of borders between states. Planet Earth is our Common Home. If there is one state, then the problem of resource distribution will cease to be so relevant that it can reduce both the environmental burden on the earth and volume of wars, since the war will be precisely due to the difference in potentials.

Daism is a new worldview created in Russia, based on the word DA (YES). This worldview is the next evolutionary step beyond postmodernism (according to James Sire's model). Daism is a path to integration both on a personal level and on a global level. Practice - YES - is the practice of integrating the internal and external, allowing each individual to move towards integrity. The community of practitioners (Homo Ludens Institute) accumulates experience in the development of people in the context of this worldview and is ready to share this experience.

  • Tatiana Ginzburg lives in Russia and is a practicing psychotherapist and teacher. She is working tirelessly for better understanding and peace between Russia and the United States.

The Story Behind the Story

We’ve been brought up with stories starting with “Once Upon a Time.”  Storytelling has been thought to only exist in oral traditions and through the written word.  Visual images can often express our deepest feelings and thoughts. Images give language to experiences where we have no words.  We’ll experience the depth and power of visual narrative.  We’ll experiment with interpretation of images and how you can start your own visual narrative practice.

  • Rev. Greg Katz, MS, MFT, PhD is a psychotherapist, spiritual director, and textile artist, synthesizing the three through medical humanities. Greg's focus is on how patients, physicians, and the community use visual art to understand illness, healing, and the complexities of health in our changing social environment. He has devoted his career to "Changing Health, Communities, and Society Through Creative Expression." Greg’s personal artist pilgrimage guided him toward the study of visual anthropology, specifically, art and healing. His dissertation: “Artists and Illness: Influence of Narrative on Autobiography and Meaning Making” explored the intersection of diagnosis, medication, and treatment on personal narrative as shared through personal creative expression.
