"What can highly sensitive people (HSP) do to take care of themselves before responding in their own way to the suffering in this world of ours?"

HSPs are that 20+% of us who have more reactive brains. If you are highly sensitive, you notice, think, and feel exponentially more than the rest of humanity. An innate trait that cannot be changed or "fixed", high sensitivity makes us care more about the suffering and also the beauty of the world.

Research shows that HSPs have stronger empathy and more reactive brains than those without the trait, so we care more, try harder to impact the world, and yet are hurt more by it. We'll discuss strategies for thriving as a sensitive world changer and offer a live Q&A.

Alane Freund, MS, MA, is an International Consultant on High Sensitivity (ICHS) and family therapist who helps highly sensitive adults and youth focus on solutions through education, consultation, and speaking. Over three decades in mental health, has developed numerous programs for highly sensitive people, youth, and clinicians, including her live workshops at Are You Highly Sensitive. She is known for her widely recognized Talk at Google: Understanding the Highly Sensitive Person.
