  • Joan Blades is a co-founder of MoveOn.org and MomsRising.org  and currently co-founder of LivingRoomConversations.org an open-source effort to build respectful caring connections across ideological, cultural and party lines while embracing our shared values. When we care about each other we work to find ways to meet each other’s core needs..   She is a co-author of The Custom-Fit Workplace,  winner of a Nautilus book award in 2011  and The Motherhood Manifesto, which won the Ernesta Drinker Ballard Book Prize in 2007.  A mediator (attorney) by training and inclination, she is a nature lover, artist and true believer in the power of citizens.  We can honor the dignity of all individuals and seek understanding even as we hold differing beliefs. Living Room Conversations works to heal society by connecting people across divides - politics, age, gender, race, nationality, and more – through guided conversations proven to build understanding and transform communities. Four to six people gather for a structured conversation on a specific topic.  Living Room Conversations can happen anywhere: our homes, coffee shops, conference spaces, churches, and online via video chat.
  • Leah Greenberg is the Co-Founder of Indivisible, a non profit organization working to vitalize US democracy.
  • Shana Gallagher is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Un-PAC. Prior to launching Un-PAC, Shana ran the two largest electoral student organizing programs in US history, designing, launching, and managing both the Beto for Texas and Bernie 2020 student organizing programs. She has spent her entire career empowering young people to be agents of change in our political system. Un-PAC is a nonpartisan group of students and young people organizing to fix our broken democracy by getting big money out of politics, and protecting and expanding youth voter access. We were founded in March of 2021 to fill the void of young people organizing to pass democracy reform at all levels of government, and to ensure that young people are on the frontlines of the unprecedented advocacy it will take to do so. We were responsible for running the largest door-to-door canvass in the history of West Virginia, and organizing two mass youth hunger strike actions in both Arizona and DC, as part of our efforts to pass federal democracy reform policy. We have recently launched a slate of new campaigns in five priority states (AZ, WI, MI, FL and PA) designed to galvanize young people around safeguarding our democracy at the state and local level.
