We profile Purpose Earth which supports purpose driven people and grassroots projects around the world.
When Purpose Earth launched its grant and mentorship program in 2020, we set out on a mission to fund and mentor purpose-driven people and grassroots projects with creative solutions to our environmental, community and cultural challenges. Since then, Purpose Earth has been able to award $184,000 to 23 grant recipients in more than 15 countries around the world, and we’re thrilled to be announcing the next round of grant recipients in the months ahead. Join the Purpose Earth team and one of our incredible grant recipients to gain insight and inspiration to take the next steps in co-creating our shared story of global transformation.
Presenters
- Emanuel Kuntzelman is a social entrepreneur, writer, motivational speaker and an activist for purpose. He founded the Chicago-based non-profit Greenheart International in 1985 and continues as Chief Advisor to the organization. He is also the co-founder of Fundación por el Futuro in Madrid, Spain, and has served as its president since its inception in 1995. He is a founding co-creator of the Global Purpose Movement, which has merged with Unity Earth, to launch Purpose Earth, of which Emanuel is the volunteer Director. His most current project is developing the theory of the Holomovement as a chaotic attractor for a shift in consciousness. Emanuel is a board member and/or advisor to: Greenheart International, Humanity’s Team, Integral Transformative Practice International, the Laszlo Institute for New Paradigm Research and Unity Earth. Emanuel is also a member of the Evolutionary Leaders Circle. - Laura K. Rose is a passionate youth empowerment and cultural exchange specialist who has dedicated her life to the creation of young global leaders through her work in cultural exchange, purpose work, mentoring, public speaking and philanthropy. She is Co-Creator of Purpose Earth, dedicated to launching, funding and mentoring grassroots projects that provide creative solutions to some of the planet’s greatest challenges. She is also Co-founder and CEO of Greenheart International, a nonprofit organization that has facilitated the cultural exchange experiences of more than 160,000 participants from 85 countries worldwide, while supporting fair trade artisans from developing nations through its fair trade division, Greenheart Shop. Laura is a recently nominated member of Evolutionary Leaders and a board member of She is the Universe, a global platform designed to amplify the voices of teenage girls from around the world. - Dr. Marty K. Casey is a St. Louis native and the Founder and President of the Show Me Arts Foundation, providing free classes centered around the arts and educating the youth in poetry, singing, dancing, theater, visual arts, and DJ Engineering to over 3,000 children. In 2020, she was named one of the “25 Most Influential Businesswomen in St. Louis.” Combining her passion for the ARTS with her compassion for her community, she is also the creator of the UnGun Institute, focused on disarming Trauma in individuals to heal from collective trauma events, which plague the black communities. Dr. Marty has co-created the global observance of Black SON Day. The inaugural event taking place August 9, 2020. She has written and produced a one woman show “It’s Not A Man’s World,” and was featured on Beyonce’s #Beygood foundation for her tireless work within the community. Dr. Marty K. - Rhiannon Catalyst began producing music and events with the goal of collaboratively using art and culture to facilitate change and healing. At 21 she became Music Director of one of the largest venues in NYC, curating years of events and interactive experiences at a now legendary cultural center. Catalyst is a multidisciplinary artist creating immersive experiences for festivals and museums including the Rubin Museum of Art, NY Hall of Science, Museum of the Moving Image, World Maker Faire, and Multichannel Music Festival. She works closely with BELLA GAIA, created in collaboration with NASA to simulate the Overview Effect. She believes passionately in the power we have to shift consciousness when we work together across disciplines and generations. This is what led her to connect with Unity Earth, Creative Directing Unity Earth Liftoff and later World Unity Week. - Nasreen Sheikh is survivor of modern-day slavery, social entrepreneur and advocate for global human rights. Born in a village on the border of India and Nepal, Nasreen escaped forced child marriage at the age of ten to work in a textile factory in Kathmandu, Nepal. At the age of 16, she created "Local Women's Handicrafts" to empower the women and girls in her community. Nasreen has since founded the Empowerment Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to ending modern-day slavery through efforts to provide a protected environment, clean water, nutritious food, safe shelter, quality education, health care and access to technology. The Empowerment Collective was selected as a 2021 Purpose Earth Grant Recipient and has served over 6,000 meals in the Saptari District of Nepal since receiving their grant. https://nasreensheikh.com/
- Lily Shehadi is a dynamic member of the Purpose Earth team, acting as their PR Coordinator and Digital Media Strategist. Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, she developed her passion for cultural collaboration and environmental restoration and is honored to support the Purpose Earth Grant Recipients’ projects. Now running a digital media strategy business based out of Las Vegas, Lily works closely as a mentor for Ghazala Collective, a 2021 Purpose Earth Grant Recipient. https://www.linkedin.com/in/lilyshehadi/
- Jill Robinson is a freelance copywriter and content creator passionate about helping mission-driven businesses and nonprofits change the world. Prior to pursuing her personal endeavors as a writer, Jill enjoyed nearly 10 years of marketing and copywriting experience at Greenheart Travel, a branch of the Chicago-based nonprofit and cultural exchange organization, Greenheart International. She has worked closely with organizations such as ITP International, Global Purpose Movement, the Mindful Agency and the Holomovement project led by social entrepreneur and Evolutionary Leaders Circle member, Emanuel Kuntzelman. Jill also is a Purpose Earth team member, acting as creative content writer.
