Cynde Collins-Clark LPC, NCC Cynde maintains a private practice while simultaneously caring for her son, a disabled Iraq Veteran, for the past 17 years. After 25 years in education, she retired to her own private practice, allowing her the flexibility to navigate the complex systems of care for her son’s ongoing healing. She is certified in EMDR, RRT, is a Healing Touch Practitioner and a Certified Inter-Spiritual Director as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her collective experiences led her becoming a voice for Veterans and their Caregivers. In 2007, she began a nonprofit, Veterans Families United (http://www.VeteransFamiliesUnited.org) which offers over 800 vetted resources in the comprehensive website directory. She was selected 2006 Oklahoma Mother of the Year for her advocacy and in 2018, was selected as the Elizabeth Dole Foundation Oklahoma Fellow, advocating for the 5.5 million military/veteran caregivers. Her life is dedicated to empowerment, hope and healing, She observes her son continue to grow and flourish, a testament to the infinite paths available when arms and hearts embrace possibilities.
