Chantal Suissa-Runne is chief editor of Nieuwwij.nl (New We), the largest multimedia platform on diversity and interfaith matters in the Netherlands. She serves as a program director for offline programs aimed at the educational field, policy advisement, and consultancy. The focus includes identity, diversity, dialogue, empowerment, prevention of extremism, leadership, and media in a European society that faces polarization, a refugee crisis, and terrorism. Efforts are aimed at combating dehumanization and creating a safe and inclusive society for all those that embrace democratic values. Suissa-Runne set up award-winning programs for young professional Jewish and Muslim leaders on developed methodologies to confront discrimination in the classroom. She serves on the boards of the Liberal Jewish Community of Amsterdam, Crescas Institute for Jewish Adult Education, alumni of the U.S. State Department’s International Visitors Leadership Program, and advisory board of the national New Connective Foundation for students. She was a participant in the International Higher Education Interfaith Leadership Forum.
