Glen Anderson has devoted his life since the 1960s to working as a volunteer for peace, nonviolence, social justice, and progressive political issues. He has volunteered individually and through a variety of non-profit organizations. Over the years he has worked especially for such wide-ranging goals as making peace with Vietnam, abolishing nuclear weapons [[Category:Issue-Nuclear Weapons]], converting from a military economy to a peacetime economy, protecting the environment and climate, working for various social and economic issues (such as abolishing the death penalty), and promoting nonviolence at all levels throughout society. He writes, speaks, and conducts training workshops on a wide variety of topics, such as how to help people build strategically smart and effective nonviolent grassroots movements for whatever issues his students care about.
