The vision for a [[The Moonshot Mission Presenters Bio Page|'''Moonshot for Mankind''']] began nearly twenty years ago when '''[[Jed Diamond]]''' read a research study by Drs. Randolph Nesse and Daniel Kruger. They found that in every country they studied, men as a group died younger and lived sicker than women. They concluded that improving men's health to the same level as women's would save the lives of 375,000 men each year in the United States alone.

This mission builds on Jed’s longtime professional career helping men and their families, that started in 1969, following the birth of his first son Jemal. Holding his baby boy in his arms, he made a vow that he would be a different kind of father than his father was able to be for him. He promised to do everything he could to create a world where all fathers were fully healthy and men and women worked together in true partnership for the good of all.

Jed spearheaded the Moonshot Mission at the end of 2021 Jed by inviting a number of colleagues who were doing significant work to improve men's mental, emotional, and relational health to join this mission for humanity. Jed will talk about the vision of the mission and how other individuals and organizations who share our vision can join us.
