The war in Ukraine is bringing the world to the most dangerous moment in our lifetime, certainly since the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. The war is now seriously escalating and could very easily end up in some kind of nuclear exchange.

On Dec 2, 2022, US forces in Lithuania transitioned from defensive to offensive modality ready for immediate action near the Russian border. Ukrainian President Zelinski’s visit to Washington three weeks later further exacerbated the war, now supported by $112B in US aid. 

The new weaponry promised like the Patriot missile system will require US troops in Ukraine. Russia is fortifying Crimea and the land bridge to Russia with several hundred thousand more troops. Putin has stated he will defend these Russian territories with nuclear weapons.
