Shamans, like psychotherapists, quantum physicists, and advertising executives, understand that we change reality by altering our mindsets, our dreams — our perceptions. When you “touch the jaguar,” you confront your fears and channel them into perceptions that can alter reality. John will draw from his two latest books, ''Touching the Jaguar'' (2020) and the upcoming ''Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, 3rd Edition'' (Feb. 2023). The former includes a process to cross the perception bridge and transform our fears – both personal and collective. The latter describes the ways China has learned from US mistakes and successes and presents a plan for a global effort to end climate change and the other crises facing us. He will describe a simple 10-minute approach that each of us can use to live the life we most want and at the same time convert what economists call a global degenerative Death Economy into a regenerative Life Economy.

* '''[[John Perkins]]''' first apprenticed with shamans when he lived the Amazon rainforest from 1968 to1971 and has since studied with shamans from many different cultures. His books on shamanism, economics and transformation include ''Shapeshifting, The World Is As You Dream It, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man,'' and his most recent, ''Touching the Jaguar: Transforming Fears into Actions to Change Our Lives and the World.'' They have been on the ''New York Times'' bestseller list for 73 weeks, sold more than 2 million copies, and are published in 37 languages. He has spoken at shamanic gatherings, economic forums and universities around the world and is a founder and board member of the Pachamama Alliance and Dream Change.
