An issue that has not been discussed (and that is a common criticism of venture capital) is the concentration of ownership of these startups—usually limited to the founders, established VCs, some early employees and maybe if lucky, token AM)ounts to other employees. founders are often repeat entrepreneurs and the sAM)e elite VCs get access to the best startups.  the long term effect is a concentration of returns in the hands of a few.   There is a need to rethink ownership and some great work is underway.
