HAPPINESS HABITS by Kurt Krueger

Happiness is a work ethic. It’s not a mystery. Train your brain to be positive and happy just like you go to eat each day. We can work at being happier. Here is a 21-Day Challenge. Pick one or more of the following habits and try it out for 21 days in a row to create a positive habit, then send me an email and tell me your results.

PRACTICE GRATITUDE - Every day, write down three new things you’re grateful for in a notebook, in a Word document, or on a journal app on your smartphone. It should be specific to that day. After as little as two weeks of doing this daily habit, research shows optimism improves and success rates rise significantly.

MEDITATION - focuses the mind. It is also extremely useful in treating anxiety attacks, it lowers blood pressure, can ease circulatory problems, and migraine and tension headaches.

  1. Listen to the sound of each breath. As is comes in and out. If thoughts come up during your meditation time - simply let them go and come back to th breath and the space between the in and out breath.
  2. Meditate for about 5-30 minutes twice each day. Honor yourself with a strict self-discipline for this valuable activity. You deserve one hour for yourself each day.

PHOTOGRAPH something meaningful in your life each day.

SELF-IMAGE - Smile and laugh more each day - it’s catching. You'll boost your mood. Write “I am enough” on your mirror.

JOURNAL - Write for two minutes a day describing one positive experience you had over the past 24 hours.

EXERCISE & SUPPLEMENT - for 30 minutes a day, stretching – like Yoga; or walking, jogging, dancing; strength training. Yawn, laugh, smile and hug. Ingest food grade multi-supplements like the Vitalizer, or Vitalizer Protein from hss.myshaklee.com.

THANKING AND/OR PRAISING - Write one quick letter or email first thing in the morning thanking or praising someone different in your social support network (family member, friend, old teacher, etc.) Tell them how they've had a positive effect in your life.
