Humanity Rising is organizing a public five-day program to shed light on the potentials of AI - countering the threat narrative of the November UK AI safety summit taking place behind closed doors.
At Humanity Rising we think of human potential holistically: How can AI assist human thriving & development beyond mere "productivity gains::::? How can this technology help create a more “humane” society? How can it enable more people to follow their passion and find their purpose? How can it help us be better stewards of the natural world? If we are to tackle these profound questions we need a common ground - a shared AI literacy.
Join us Nov 13-17 to envision the powerful potentials of a world with a diverse ecosystem of AI models flourishing for all mankind - an open AI - two words - not a monoculture of a few monolithic intelligences with control over discourse and decision-making.
AI Literacy Summit: Day 1, Nov 13th 2023
GenAI - Pandora’s Box, Panacea or Catalyst for Human Evolution?
It has been 12 months since ChatGPT “hit the streets”. At its core are transformers
- a new paradigm in computing that can act as universal translators and sensemakers across diverse domains such as language, audio, images, computer code, protein-structures and paradigms.
They challenge our concepts of creativity, copyright, computing and the very concept of reality.
Is this technology neutral or does AI tend to amplify asymmetries?
How do we address that AI researchers currently don’t fully understand how these models function?
