It is clear that democracy in the United States is in crisis. Former president Donald Trump with the Republican Party are working tirelessly to undermine the democratic process with a relentless Big Lie that the 2020 elections were “stolen,” combined with eroding the number of people who can actually vote. In the last year alone, over 17 million citizens have been purged from voter rolls in Republican controlled states and severe limitations have been imposed on those who are still allowed to vote.

George Cappannelli is a concerned American citizen with a career has included work in a number of fields: Communications, Advertising and Marketing, Film and Television Production, Transformational Education, and Individual and Organizational Consulting and Politics

George is a veteran having served during but not in the Vietnam War. Instead, as a young Naval Officer he was assigned to several staff commands that gave him unique perspectives on weapons and strategies of war (both their perceived necessity and their ultimate danger) as well as exposure to a number of senior officers and political figures at some of the highest levels in both sectors. He has also been privileged to have had a number of different careers, each of which have further deepened his understanding of organizational structure and strategy, power and the individuals who seek and wield it.

On the political side, George is a registered Democrat but actually considers himself more of an Independent. He has served as a strategic consultant and researcher for three Democratic Presidential candidates, working primarily behind the scenes, although in one US Senate race in California and one local Mayoral Campaign in Arizona he served as the Campaign Manager.
