During this call we will explore how social and business life can evolve to foster humanity.  As an international manager the question on how to transform our individual and collective experiences into wisdom became the driving force of my engagement. During this talk, I will share some insights and visions on how individuals can change systems through inner change and personal development. It is time to wake up to the fact that we live in an interconnected world, which requires our attention to the dynamics of systems, not isolated individuals, buildings, or events.

In Western culture we learned to think and manage separation instead of interconnectedness. A world with clear boundaries: boxes described jobs, lines charted relationships and accountabilities, roles and policies described the limits of what each individual did and who we think they should become.  We believe we can control everything. We have hoped that science would eventually give us complete power over life and all its processes. And we are using the same approach right now by trying to manage the pandemic. Our plans and directives are aimed to align people, communities, and entire organizations to an image of life, which is based on a mechanistic world view. But exactly this world view has brought us to the point where we are.

It is time to find answers to the questions: What kind of world, organizations, businesses do we really need? And how should they look?

• Alfred Tolle is the Founder and Chairman of a non-profit association Wisdom Together, established to foster consciousness and wisdom. Wisdom Together is offering regional overarching platforms, conferences and workshops to host dialogues, transformation and change-initiatives that embrace a holistic perspective. Alfred is also supporting companies as a Coach and Consultant in their transformation process towards meaning and purpose.

Alfred joined Google’s EMEA HQ in Dublin, Ireland, in 2011, consulting International companies on their online marketing and digital strategies. Prior to that he was CEO of Lycos in Boston, Vice President of Bertelsmann online in Asia/Japan, and Executive Board Member of Daum Communication in Korea. His experience as an executive manager in these major blue-chip companies, as well as working across the globe, have fed into his belief that we are truly living within an interconnected society. This motivates his desire to bring about positive global change. Furthermore, recognizing the transformational potential of gatherings in terms of a deeper understanding and impacting people’s lives and their societal well-being, Alfred has instigated many projects that build upon a meaningful framework for transformation around the world. He has initiated several leadership developments projects within Google. Alfred also participated in the Global Wellbeing Lab with executives from around the world, initiated and supported by the German government (GIZ) and The Presencing Institute in Boston, and was actively involved in the working group of the Club of Madrid, which delivered a research booklet about shared societies for the UN.
