The non-profit organization I am President of in Bellingham, WA is The Restorative Community Coalition. We have been working in the gutters of our society here - figuring out how to rebuild humans after they have been decimated by the civic systems of our society that are the dominator systems that are building incarceration systems. People don't like talking about this, for it is ugly and unsavory. We could use financial, leadership and conscious assistance in implementing the social change businesses that we have identified that take people out of the death spiral of business - to move us into the spiral of life-enhancing businesses. It's taken years to dig down through the Blindspots, get around the blinders, and down to the double and triple binds that the law and the justice system has created - going clear back to the Doctrine of Discoveries habits of separating humans from nature. We are nature, and when people are treated with respect, honor and dignity - and empowered to help themselves and help others out of messes that have been created by historical habits. We can change habits of thinking, habits of beliefs, and habits of behavior.

Hi Jim, not sure if you are going to see this but I have been working on a book called the POD Effect featuring local community initiatives as you just described. Plus the toolkit to make it happen - ME, WE, US - with the world protected by a conscious net of love. It’s the ZEITGIEST.

Start working with local non-profits who are not part of the "normal" funding channels - people who are working around the fringe of our society...the homeless coalitions, the reentry gouprs, the trauma groups... that is one how.
