Text of the Zoom Chat from Humanity Rising Day 251

...

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:10 AM)

good morning, Matt, good to see you - and on such an important topic.  (please everyone, include Attendees in your messages here so we see what you say - blessings!)

Matthew Robertson to Panelists and Attendees (11:17 AM)

Great to see you, Shannon! Thanks for being here.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:17 AM)

<3

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:17 AM)

Good to see you again, Matt and Raji. Feel to say to start with: - I suggest we smooth the transition (as you say) by thinking of ourselves overall as ALIVE. As long as we identify as human, (regardless of ethnicity, race, sex, religion, anything 'other'), that must be enough to lead us to give conscious consideration to ALL LIFE - be it human, animal, plant, insect, oceanic or otherwise. In fact, we need to avoid thinking of ourselves as 'other', in any way at all,

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:18 AM)

Good 251st day, Shannon,  from sunny Philadelphia, the Humanity Rising fan club of ChatPeople.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:19 AM)

Hopefully us 'oldies' can help to share wisdom with young ones xxx

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:19 AM)

welcome Vero! hello.

Stan! well-named: ChatPeople - HR Fan Club!!!

that’s what we’re here for, Diane!!

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:20 AM)

Thanks Raji. Yes, all is well (I think hahaha) and - hello to Shannon and Stanley too. Off we go, eh, yaaaay xxxxx

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:20 AM)

and to learn!!!

Matthew Robertson to Panelists and Attendees (11:21 AM)

Are panelists are coming in today from Beirut, South Africa, the UK, Sri Lanka, Bolivia, and Mexico.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:21 AM)

my, things really have to change, don’t they!  Good question: How do we help make the change, bc it’s happening anyway (we DO struggle & that’s important too)

Me to All panelists and other attendees (11:22 AM)

All of us humans are "indigenous" to planet earth.

mary thorp to Panelists and Attendees (11:22 AM)

I have taken on being known as Earth People, spoken by Arkan Lushwala, Peruvian ceremonial leader & Lakota brother.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:22 AM)

Vero - we are not alone - we are all together - many strings on the violin!! Ready to play together - and to make ALL young people have the confidence and the love to join together and evolve - and to make beautiful music xxx

Matthew Robertson to Panelists and Attendees (11:22 AM)

This is a topic our NextGen team will pursue beyond today’s presentation. We invite you to contribute to the conversation in the NextGen Leadership Forum on Ubiverse: ::https://ubiverse.org/groups/humanity-rising-nextgen-leadership-forum::

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:23 AM)

the changes are happening naturally, helping us move from the opinions of the past into a place  of respect.  Oh, Matt, that’s interesting.

E Carney to Panelists and Attendees (11:24 AM)

Hello, all. Thank you @Mathew for your invitation beyond today. Allies!

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:24 AM)

Ooooh!! Brilliant topic, Matt and the Next Gen team!! Invitation gracefully accepted

Yes, a safe space for ALL LIFE!!

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:26 AM)

bless you, Vero!

E Carney to Panelists and Attendees (11:26 AM)

“need people who love and accept each other”

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:26 AM)

Wonderful Vero xxx

Barbro Esbjörnsdotter to Panelists and Attendees (11:26 AM)

very encouraging, Veronica!

mary thorp to Panelists and Attendees (11:28 AM)

We stood on the shoulders of generations before us. GenX are standing on the shoulders of the ground taken by our work. Are any of us starting anything new?Transformation provides for thinking that can shift the future of humanity by creating models that work for everyone.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:29 AM)

what is the meaning of the words Die Manzkap, please

Larry Cashion to Panelists and Attendees (11:30 AM)

I think the biggest challenge with regard to “Identity” is fear.  Fear of being wrong in comparison to a percieved other and then not allowing space for an aptitude and acceptance of not only change, but acceptance of an emerging identity as opposed to one box or sticker to wear that defines self and or association.  With that, how do we, as a Humanity in whole, Rise to a place of intra-communication and interrelated connectivity with perceived other as actually being ourself as well.  In other words, What will motivate human to loose our mind to the profound redefinition of fear, too an opportunity of growth of Identity as One whole and One in all?

E Carney to Panelists and Attendees (11:32 AM)

“colored excellence”

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:33 AM)

excellence. aho.

what’s a ‘nommer’

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:35 AM)

The transformation is part of a looooong path (starting with apartheid) - this has been a difficult path obviously so - you're doing well so far and WE will succeed as a UNITED human race!! We've all got to be WONDERFUL - kind, considerate, conscious and empathic

Barbro Esbjörnsdotter to Panelists and Attendees (11:39 AM)

This "coloured"!. Why coloured? We (I) might as well be called bleached. This labelling goes so deep with the bleached people being the norm.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:40 AM)

good for you Tarek. Thanks for your work!

Kathryn Alexander, MA to Panelists and Attendees (11:41 AM)

I love bleached!

E Carney to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

yes, @Barbro- like we call it “organic agriculture” instead of it being the norm. “industrial agriculture” is the conventional agriculture. I am thinking deeply about being “the bleached”:)

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:42 AM)

Yes, Barbro - Coloured/Bleached!! I love it too. Young people have been given this divide and rule confusion/conflict!! That's why we need to guide them and give them strength with our feelings that - there is only one of us here - it is all of us!! We are ALL a part of the same being. (All we need is LOVE!!)

E Carney to Panelists and Attendees (11:43 AM)

“the alphabet mafia”

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:45 AM)

Wahaaay!! Bob Dylan!! He knows too!! Always did!!

What facet at which time!! Very wise - we all have many facets!!

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:47 AM)

And having gone through an identity crisis - having spotted our many facets - eventually we learn to unite our many facets and create a solid person - unified and unique!!!

A whole person!! Yaaaay!!

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:47 AM)

We are given different ids by different people all our lives - a mom was daughter, a son becomes Dad, etc - WE have always had to be fluid but Western culture does not credit it. Through these conversations we  are learning. Vision quests and initiations and honouring the changes is needed.

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)

Indeed Shannon.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)

basic human needs.

Matthew Robertson to Panelists and Attendees (11:48 AM)

An alive logic for me: How can I move from my relative identity to my identity as consciousness itself, which extends beyond my person to all life and the universe? WHILE honoring my small identity as a microcosmic expression of that whole? As Dr. Strange would say “years of study and practice.” ;) So then, how do I maintain the internal energy and motivation for this practice? For me, a large part of this is living as mindfully as I can by looking at the actions I take on a daily basis and asking myself, “will this give me energy, or spend it?” If I maintain compassion for myself when I’m making decisions that “use energy”, which feels necessary sometimes, I feel I am in a good, upward flow towards expansion and growth of my personal identity towards presence.

Matthew Robertson to Panelists and Attendees (11:50 AM)

I notice fear as a consequence of “spending energy” through my various actions.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)

the fear arises, I think, from an awareness that we cannot ‘do it all’ however much we ‘spend’

Matthew Robertson to Panelists and Attendees (11:51 AM)

Yes, nice.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:52 AM)

we are so abundantly different! glorious! should be our strength!!

mary thorp to Panelists and Attendees (11:52 AM)

I don’t think rabbits or elephants have this issue. I look forward to creating an inclusive model of human beings that has this current model of all the differences be obsolete.

Barbro Esbjörnsdotter to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

Shannon, yes!!!

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

Amazing thoughts Matt. And the counteract to fear is Love!! So - when confused and feeling fear, aim to give love - to yourself or others. It helps xxx

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

please, no, “differences are important” as he said as I wrote that!!!

Judith Anderson to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

This  presentation is so important

Matthew Robertson to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

Love that, Tarek. Tension can be necessary. Trial by the fire of recognizing reality as it is.

E Carney to Panelists and Attendees (11:53 AM)

+1 TAREK out of discomfort can be creativity

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)

well done, sir!!

Barbro Esbjörnsdotter to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)

That was great, Tarek.

Dehanna Rice to Panelists and Attendees (11:54 AM)

Yes! Kudos Tarik!

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (11:55 AM)

hi, Judith, welcome!

we are privileged to have/hear you!

Matthew Robertson to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)

Thanks so much for joining us, Judith!

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:56 AM)

Well done Tarek!! You used a fantastic word that also helps - responsibility. Again, hopefully we will help to add oldie wisdom to youngie confusion. we'll pull through very soon - we're on the road!!

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)

Thank you for being here Judith. We NEED elders and youth present in the same room to help come up with solutions to solve the challenges we face <3

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (11:58 AM)

Brill start!! We are part of nature - not separate.

Society has sadly spent many years teaching people that it's important what they look like.

An illusion.  We avoided 'how to be a person'!!

Robin Geller to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)

I have wondered what the intricacies are of perspective that initiate persons to knowingly communicate potentially discriminatory labels/stereotypes of which they categorise themselves?

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:00 PM)

How to feel!! Allow our emotions!! (And move on hahaha)

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)

Remember to dance!! Remember to laugh. Remember to move on!!

Jen Forti to Panelists and Attendees (12:01 PM)

And remember to sing 🎶✨

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:02 PM)

Yaaaaay!!!! Thank you Jen!!!!!

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:03 PM)

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:09 PM)

Alchemy- the transmutation of density to light through creative life force

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:16 PM)

Wow!! Transmutation!! I wonder if we can help metamorphosise whole groups/tribes/continents

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)

We are all alchemists - or at least we have the potential. As Judith said earlier - stop getting stuck!!

David Stoney to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)

Sally Weintrobe’s book, Engaging with Climate Change: Psychoanalytic and interdisciplinary Perspectives, is also quite good.

Shannon McArthur to Panelists and Attendees (12:17 PM)

Judith Anderson to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)

Thanks for mentioning Sally’s earlier book David Stoney

Diane Skidmore to Panelists and Attendees (12:19 PM)

Whilst also healing ourselves!! and the planet as a whole!!

Be still and know thyself!!!
