Hello, from Taos, New Mexico. The Church Rock accident was the worst uranium spill in the USA: wiki: “The Church Rock uranium mill spill in the U.S. state of New Mexico on July 16, 1979, when United Nuclear Corporation's tailings disposal pond at its uranium mill in Church Rock breached its dam.” Taos and the Northern New Mexico Pueblos are downwinders to the new “Rocky Flats” which was closed by the FBI in 1989 near Boulder , CO for weapons of mass destruction via plutonium pit nuke warheads at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. New Mexico also holds perhaps the largest depository of nuke weapons in the USA plus perhaps the biggest nuke waste dump at WIPP in NM. These are huge issues that the Democrats and the NM Governor do not want to recognize their support of nuke weapons of mass destruction. We are 100 Seconds to Midnight. It is not when we have a nuke war but when under the current circumstances. Plutonium waste can last 25,000 years. Unfortunately, Deb Haaland supported LANL & Pits.

Yes Resource exploitation is ongoing eg. attemps by big corp. to plunder mother Earth as is evident in recent ongoing attempts to mine copper on sacred land quote, Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Oak Flat contains numerous indigenous archaeological sites dating back 1,500 years. If the mine goes forward as planned, it will consume 11 square miles, including Apache burial grounds, sacred sites, petroglyphs and medicinal plants.

Similar situation with the Peace Corp. i.e. the P.C. may be an organization that means well, but all too often, despite any positive changes or good will, the changes weren't sustainable beacause the changes weren't primarily driven by those on the ground who are most impacted and live it every day.
