Tina Cordova, Co-Founder Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium; Albuquerque, New Mexico
Tina Cordova is a seventh generation native New Mexican born and raised in the small town of Tularosa in south central New Mexico. In 2005 Tina co-founded the Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium (TBDC) with the late Fred Tyler.
The mission of the TBDC is to bring attention to the negative health effects suffered by the unknowing, unwilling, uncompensated, innocent victims of the first nuclear blast on earth that took place at the Trinity site in South Central New Mexico. Ultimately, the goal is the passage of the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act Amendments to bring much needed health care coverage and compensation to the People of New Mexico who have suffered with the health effects of overexposure to radiation since 1945. Tina is a cancer survivor having been diagnosed with Thyroid cancer when she was 39 years old.
In her role as an advocate on behalf of the TBDC she has testified before the US Senat

Thank you panelists. This is such an important discussion. I can’t express my desire for the population of the world to stand up to the nuke arms dealers to abolish the nuke bombs, and the nine countries whom possess nuclear weapons from the earth. Nuke testing is still having an effect globally. I live 45 miles downwind from Los Alamos National Laboratory (place of the invention of the atomic bomb). The US government is currently dumping $billions into make plutonium pit warheads for the unneeded modernization of nuke weapons of mass destruction and the end of civiiization.

The thing is that the energy demand is overestimated to push the nuclear implementation. We don’t need centralised energy generation but distributed which means Nuclear Reactors are not the right solution for the energy demand of our immediate future.

MARY, Totally support the bliss of focusing on what we want ~ Positive ~
SPREAD WHAT WE WANT. We get to focus on what we want. Like Mother Teresa would only go to a pro-Peace Rally - never an anti-war rally. We speak inside to ourselves, sometimes in a positive way and other times in a way that is degrading ourselves and/or others. When we start to notice this talk becoming negative, we can simply say to ourselves, “Switch!” and rephrase the negative into a positive statement.
REMEMBER is exactly what we wish to happen. Yet, this is all too seldom offered. Instead, we hear, “Don’t forget!” Subconsciously, this ‘reminds’ us of forgetting rather than remembering. Make sense? Yes, the word is made flesh in more ways than one.
Physiologically, blood sugar increases with encouraging, positive comments and words. It decreases with the negative ones.
