09:07:08 From Lin Zhang-Shanghai to Everyone : My reflection: What has occurred to my mind is the pictures of the boutique clothing stores on the French concession in Shanghai, the smell and taste of the dumpling and wantons, and spring onion pancakes from the small local restaurants with decades of histories, and the street views of all people and beautiful trees from the windows of all the small coffee shops in narrow but beautiful alleys in center Shanghai. They are something make me feel replenished and recharged every time when I am near them.
Also as a living system, the dynamic of Shanghai can’t be better explained by city is a living system. You can find extremely fancy and modern everything; you can also find extremely local way of living. The city truly adapts by itself and develops itself.
Then as what all living system has principles, then I start to reflect on what is the lower-level principles of Shanghai? What exactly is the make it unique for each city?
