In September 2001 I was invited by the Budapest City Goverment to plant a living memorial on an island in the middle of the Danube. The national media were there, the mood was sombre and instead of a tree I was to plant a bush. I wanted to raise the spirit and when urged by a TV reporter to say a few words, I began by saying, "I would like call this bush George". "What did you say?" The journalist asked with a big smile. "I would like to call this bush George. George Bush. And it my hope that this George Bush will spread a message of peace to all who pass by." The response to that little bit of humour was terrific and that night all the TV stations focused on the part when I called the bush George. The story travelled far and wide through Hungary and made the rest of my trip a most magical experience. Light is bright, bright is joy, joy is happy, happiness is healing
