From: Raquel Torrent (11:09 AM) Thanks Michelle !!! Love to you too !!! Yes !!! What a journey David !!!

From: Me (11:12 AM) Good day everyone. In the discussion of brands, I AM) committed to a brand that has to do with helpfulness. I believe that helpfulness is what will make the breakthrough to a better world. Helpfulness Brings People Into Focus. Bless you all. And I join you in toasting Humanity Rising, a brand in itself.

From: Michelle Kidd (11:12 AM) YAAY. LOVE Inside out. David 🌀

From: Doreen Tanenbaum (11:13 AM) Fantastic David…turning it on its head!

From: Diane Skidmore (11:13 AM) @Stanley 💓

From: Jane (11:13 AM) Ethical Branding Green washing...corruption

From: Michelle Kidd (11:15 AM) How do we Research these brands please so that we can see the difference between what they Say and What they do. Are there any links we can. Check out. Thank you Michelle

From: Jane (11:16 AM) And distroying our innards. destroying

From: Doreen Tanenbaum (11:18 AM) Sounds like all of us

From: Me (11:19 AM) My City, Philadelphia, taxes sugared drinks!

From: Raquel Torrent (11:19 AM) PERFORMERS NOT PRETENDERS !!! I love that !!!

From: Jane (11:19 AM) Consumers are no longer accepting at 'face' value.

From: Michelle Kidd (11:20 AM) Sugared drinks are taxed in the UK, I'm not sure how much difference it makes

From: Raquel Torrent (11:21 AM) And it's also nice to know that consumers are getting savyer !!!

From: Diane Skidmore (11:21 AM) Water. And water. And a filter for water (inexpensive). Words on the jug - Hidden Messages in Water. And water. Indeed - good to know people are learning

From: Me (11:22 AM) Just the debate over the sugar drink tax has put the issue on the front page. It encourages thought and debate over diet.

From: Diane Skidmore (11:23 AM) And the more you drop sugar the less you need it. Takes education first tho.

From: Raquel Torrent (11:23 AM) Sometimes the problem is not ONLY on the entreprise that sells that BRAND but the legislation that doesn't really set the healthiest path !!!

From: Jane (11:24 AM) So the brands are assessing themselves??

From: Victoria Schwarz Schwarz (11:25 AM) David: do you have that as a directory? And would love a directory of good banks.

From: Shannon McArthur (11:26 AM) @Malini, change your To: so WE can see your comments!!

From: Kat Haber (11:26 AM) To all panelists and attendees.

From: Kathryn Alexander, MA (11:27 AM) What would branding look like in the ‘new world’ we are trying to create? Marketing works - we see that in politics as well….

From: Me (11:27 AM) @Malini, please repeat your post.

From: MALINI Rajendran (11:28 AM) there was a report of high levels of pesticide in the Coca-Cola, which led to the banning of supply to all school canteens, it also led to research into the use of pesticide in sugarcane farming in India and the excess mining of water From: agriculture zones. there is no way that Coca-Cola can provide any health or nutritive value to the consumer.the biggest fraud is the diet coke.

From: Michelle Kidd (11:28 AM) Yes David, We are Whole and Perfect just as We are.

From: Diane Skidmore (11:29 AM) Thank you David!! We are whole as we are. Why aren't we dropping consumerism.

From: Jane (11:29 AM) Once again it comes back to self awareness...nothing on the exterior of self is the medicine for happiness.

From: Diane Skidmore (11:29 AM) Agree - stop pointing fingers and - STOP SHOPPING (hahahaFrom: From: Jane (11:29 AM) From: Brands don't 'fix' us.

From: Tiffany Stone (11:29 AM) How do we make climate justice important to people? I’ve started going on InstagrAM) a.bit in the past year. During the pandemic people were calling out brands for their lack of diversity in models. How do we bet theses sAM)e people to also care about the brands environmental practices?

From: Diane Skidmore (11:30 AM) Or - buy what we need and check the quality (for exAM)pleFrom: From: Michelle Kidd (11:30 AM) From: The issue for many of us in daily life is how do we find the Time to check out all of the things we buy. Michelle 💓

From: Diane Skidmore (11:30 AM) And lockdown has been lovely as - we HAD to stop shopping!!

From: Katie Winer (11:31 AM) How do we as consumers try to impact companies like Kinder Morgan who are oil/gas and drilling pipelines through our green spaces and neighborhoods despite being sued by thousands of people?

From: Shannon McArthur (11:31 AM) they taught me all that in Business Management school 30 years ago. Still status quo.

From: Mary Thorp (11:32 AM) We are disrupting the status quo

From: Diane Skidmore (11:32 AM) Totally - Raquel - governments support economy - profit over people!! Grrrrr - that's why we need system change!!

From: MALINI Rajendran (11:32 AM) Tetra pack cannot control what the product manufacturers print. they have to follow the legislation for that product. but what Tetra pack has started doing is investing in post consumption packaging recycling.

From: Kathryn Alexander, MA (11:32 AM) The ‘we the people’ approach requires all actors to be of good will. that is not reality, so what structures/processes need to be in place to make sure there is consistent honesty?

From: Mary Thorp (11:33 AM) We need to change the system/legislation not wait for it to be changed.

From: Doreen Tanenbaum (11:33 AM) AM)en David!

From: shawne mitchell (11:33 AM) What a great presenter! Philosopher. Objective. Understands business. Leading-edge thinker.

From: Tiffany Stone (11:33 AM) Do any of you have sustainable brands you can recommend?

From: Doreen Tanenbaum (11:34 AM) Spiritual notion of being responsible

From: MALINI Rajendran (11:34 AM) for advertising it's called the hook. and they need to stop using kids in their advertising. because kids demand a specific product and parents usually give in.

From: Shannon McArthur (11:34 AM) We MUST remove ourselves From: the marketplace as best we can, seems.

From: Raquel Torrent (11:34 AM) David, what you're saying it is sooo true !!! We consumers have the power to "educate" Brand enterprises BUT like with any other Transformation we do need trespassing the breach. Sooo, how do we pass the Rubicon? How do we do until the brands hear our screAM)s for change3 ???

From: Shannon McArthur (11:34 AM) Brands for Good. hmm

From: Michelle Kidd (11:34 AM) I find it difficult to buy food groceries in Supermarkets that aren't packaged in plastic

From: Diane Skidmore (11:34 AM) @Katie Winer - oil and fossil fuel businesses are part of the battle between good and evil. Common sense (and that could be governments if they had the interest of the planet at heart) says stop doing pipelines but - it's maybe (hopefully) the death throes of the old world. It's changing. Gradually.

From: Liliane Mavridara (11:35 AM) One thing to consider is that 80% of the population is not at this level of deciding and choosing because of basic needs and struggle to make ends meet. And we can also say that 40% of us as Cultural Creatives we influence this new branding/marketing movement.

From: Lane Maser (11:35 AM) Buy local, buy independent.

From: Doreen Tanenbaum (11:35 AM) Love it David!

From: Diane Skidmore (11:35 AM) @Michelle - aim to avoid supermarkets xxx @Lane exactly

From: Michelle Kidd (11:36 AM) The local shops package in plastic too

From: shawne mitchell (11:36 AM) Yeah . . .

From: Raquel Torrent (11:36 AM) Yes Ç!!!

From: Dehanna Rice (11:36 AM) Brilliant! 2030 Goals in filtering our remembrance

From: Kathryn Alexander, MA (11:37 AM) Brands for Good - is it a ‘certification” process? that could be useful!!!

From: Lane Maser (11:37 AM) @Michelle - sAM)e here; plastic is increasingly wrapped around EVERYTHING, even organic lettuce. I will not purchase and let the management know why. 😊

From: Diane Skidmore (11:37 AM) The HR session that cAM)e From: somewhere in the UK had a similar website - sustainable products

From: MALINI Rajendran (11:37 AM) @Raquel. how many on this call read the labels on the products they buy at the supermarket, and if they do how many understand the goobldegook on the label. which is some times so cleverly worded you need a PhD in chemistry to unravel the mystery. we need to make product education a basic part of school education.

From: Shannon McArthur (11:37 AM) sbbrandsforgood.com

From: Yasmina Groenstein (11:38 AM) The vision of a sustainable model is for manufacturers to invest and reinvest in circular innovations, delivering both economic growth and good fashion practice across...

From: MALINI Rajendran (11:39 AM) producer liability is a mandatory part of our environmental laws, product lifecycle is another mandatory declaration.

From: Kathryn Alexander, MA (11:40 AM) @Malini nice to see how far along India is!!

From: Raquel Torrent (11:41 AM) Who do you teach all these wonderful principles, David? Would you please tell us some of your clients?

From: Tiffany Stone (11:41 AM) @Lane yes, that is the best. We’re able to buy local/independent for almost everything where we live, thankfully.

From: Victoria Schwarz Schwarz (11:41 AM) Wouldn’t it be great to have coaches who come to our homes and point out what is obvious to them about things that can be improved in our own homes re choices, systems

From: MALINI Rajendran (11:42 AM) that's the slip between the cup and the lip. the laws are in place -are they implemented -well that's a point to research.

From: Kat Haber (11:42 AM) 9 consumer behavior shifts: CLIMATE: eat more plants, be energy smart, think durable-fewer single use stuff & wash use container, PRESERVE RESOURCESFOR LIFE: reduce water & food waste go circular, choose nature friendly products, Show up, FOSTER RESiLIENT Support women/girls. From: Michelle Kidd (11:43 AM) I would Love to buy local and Organic however I live in an area of Low Economy, mostly Social Housing, and the shops cater to the majority

From: MALINI Rajendran (11:43 AM) David. since most of the products I've found on the supermarket shelves are "made in China" how do you enforce racial equality and sustainable practices.

From: Dehanna Rice (11:43 AM) Yes, I would like to go to “Just Brands”! Is it virtual or in the Bay Area?

From: Yasmina Groenstein (11:46 AM) Circular innovations are not yet being adopted at scale by manufacturers. However there are great initiatives in place, there is a lack of financial vehicles willing to take the risk investing in new innovations and a lack of expertise to assess these innovations...why? Because the old paradigm of our current economy...

From: Dr. Carroy (Cuf) Ferguson (11:47 AM) For those who are concerned about where their next meal is coming From: (food insecurity), in what ways, if any, can branding be used to constructively deal with issues like food insecurity?

From: ChangJi (DDMBA) (11:48 AM) The AM)azing thing is that we call things we don’t want “waste”, perhaps we should reexAM)ine our definition of “waste” in order not to be driven by the unexAM)ined assumption of “there is an away for things/people” that do not fit in our lives"

From: Michelle Kidd (11:48 AM) 💓 Great question Cuf

From: Yasmina Groenstein (11:48 AM) YES! The need WILL forward the movement to change to sustainable practices!
