Débora Bessa (Rio de Janeiro, 1976) graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1998. She had been working in the studio responsible for the main franchise projects in stores in Brazil, where she deepened the university studies with the development of executive projects and construction monitoring. She participated in one of the winning teams in Rio Cidade and in 2001 and 2002 she was a collaborator of the Célula Urbana project, a realization of the iconic Bauhaus school in association with the MoVLe studio in Rio de Janeiro.

Academic experience

In 2002 he moved to Argentina to obtain a postgraduate degree in Urban Design at the University of Buenos Aires, the institution where he also began his teaching activity in the Chair of Introduction to Contemporary Architecture. In 2004 she began working at Artek as a draftsman and soon expanded her role to the commercial field until she became an associate, inaugurating in 2008 the company's office in Brazil, which was established as a strong regional headquarters acting within the

large volume of events on the Rio-São Paulo / southeast - south - northeast axis, and in other Latin American countries.

Over the years, he also intensified his work with clients and projects globally, supervised Artek assemblies in Japan, for example, and expanded an important commercial channel with Europe.

International experience

In 2017, he settled in Spain, where he deepened his knowledge in Management, Marketing and Commercial Strategies and collaborated with the expansion of Artek.

He becomes a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Brazil-Catalonia and also attends the meetings of the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid.

His fluency in several languages ​​(Portuguese, Spanish, English, Catalan and some Italian and French) and experience in more than 25 countries, contribute to the management of work in different national and international markets, and facilitates communication with partners and suppliers. , event organizers and especially in customer service.

Beyond architecture

The fine arts, music and literature have always been very present in her personal life, and the fact that she was a student of the renowned Colégio Pedro II, an interdisciplinary training, contributed to her global vision.

This led her to participate in several activities in parallel. During the university he was part of the organizing committee of National Meetings of Architecture Students. He presented classes on stands and events.

In 2015 she was curator and author of the main article in a publication of the magazine of the Central Society of Architects of Buenos Aires (SCA) that had as its theme the production of architecture in Brazil in the framework of the arrival of the 2016 Olympic Games. He also organized and carried out a guided tour with a group of Argentine architects in the cities of Rio, Sao Paulo and Brasilia.

He has written articles on cities and travel for a magazine in Barcelona and specialized websites in Brazil, as well as maintaining his own profile on travel, design and culture.
