  • Brian Rice, PhD, is a professor (at University of Manitoba, Canada), a cultural performer, a thought leader and a life-long activist/educator of/on North American Indigenous peoples, cultures, and governance, Dr Rice is a member of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) Confederacy. As part of his doctorate on Traditional knowledge from the California Institute of Integral Studies, he traveled to all of the important cultural and historical places within the story of the Kayeneren: kowa Great Law of Peace. With depth of understanding on indigenous forms of governance, Dr. Rice also directed an Indigenous governance program at the University of Manitoba, as well developed the Indigenous Global Religions for the Religions and Culture Department at The University of Winnipeg
